Anneke van Bommel

Anneke studied at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and apprenticed with studio jeweller Sabine Mittermayer in Oberaudorf, Germany during the final year of her studies. After receiving her BFA with a Major in Jewellery Design and Metalsmithing from NSCAD University, Anneke joined the artist in residence program in the Metal studio at Harbourfront Centre. Her exhiibiton works explore themes of value, irony, memory and symbolism. Currently, Anneke has been developing a body of work that explores the symbols and icons of Canadiana.
