Nelson-Daniel sees the unique raven figurines she creates as a spiritual conductor between heaven and earth. She makes a basic figurine and constructs it so that the shoulder, upper torso and waist are articulated and can be pivoted into an unusual pose. Then she dresses the bird. Nelson-Daniel has won various awards throughout southern Ontario for her pieces and they have been featured in several craft and collector magazines throughout North America.
Nelson-Daniel lives in Midland. The area is famous for having the largest collection of outdoor murals in Canada, and the largest collection of fresh water islands in the world.
