Ohsweken, Ontario, Canada
Henry began creating stone sculptures around 1987 when he was only eight years old. With seven older brothers, all of whom carved, it was a natural predilection for him. Henry prefers to use hand tools, such as chisels and utility knives. He often carves images of faces, eagles and wampum designs out of steatite, commonly known as soap stone.
Henry is from the Wolf Clan of Onondaga Nation, one of the Six Nations Reserves in Ohsweken located just south of Brantford in southern Ontario.
