Corrine Hunt

Vancouver, British Columbia

Corrine is a member of the Raven “Gwa’wina” clan from the Ts’akis, a Kwakiutl village on Vancouver Island. Her paternal grandmother, A’neesla’ga was a Tlingit noblewoman from Alaska. The Hunt family heritage has been doubly endowed with both the Kwakiutl and Tlingit traditions. Norman Brotchi, her maternal uncle, attracted her interest with his beautifully hand engraved jewellery and was instrumental in introducing her to the Kwakiutl art of engraving. Corrine has been working as a jeweller since 1985. Corrine’s designs have been chosen for the 2010 Winter Olympic medals.

Within Toronto, Corrine Hunt’s jewellery is sold exclusively at The Guild Shop.
