Frances Che is a Canadian artist who was born in Taiwan. It was during the years she spent in Taiwan that she started beading as a hobby. Soon she started exploring jewellery making using a variety of materials and weaving techniques. In the unique jewellery that she creates, she incorporates classical jewellery design concept using contemporary materials. She uses Swarovski® crystals not only because they are uniform in their unique cuts, but also because they attract more light refraction than other artificial crystals. Other materials used include genuine fresh water pearls and Japanese & Czech glass beads, which have been purchased from many of the countries that she's visited over the past ten years.
