Gill Aysegul Birol

Gill Aysegul Birol is an award winning graphic artist. She is currently combining line, space and texture in enchanting contemporary jewellery. Born in Istanbul, Turkey, Gill earned a BA in Applied Fine Arts from Marmara University of Istanbul. Her ultimate passion as an artist was Jewellery design. This aspiration became a reality after relocating to Massachusetts, in 1997. She now resides in Toronto where she has found the creative oasis of her dreams. In some of the jewellery featured at The Guild Shop, she uses coffee, cayenne, mustard, wasabi, mint and baking soda, to name a few, to produce interesting and truly unique jewellery.
