Gillian Batcher

Batcher first completed a degree in Psychology at The University of Western Ontario before continuing on to study jewellery at George Brown College. At the beginning of her jewellery career, she tended to focus on the technical aspect; however, she has been developing conceptually stronger body of work. She is currently running a shared jewellery studio, Jewel Envy, in downtown Toronto.

Batcher lives and works in Toronto, Canada’s largest city. Toronto is rated as one of the “world’s most liveable cities” for its diverse neighbourhoods, and cosmopolitan, international character.
