John has had a lifelong interest in stone, but it was only in early 2006 that he began to pursue this path as a stone artist. Using the stone that he gathers from local quarries, stone piles and fence lines of area farms, he creates unique pieces for homes and gardens. He chooses special stones from many, and each stone will suggest what it might be transformed into. When he works with stone he is aware of working with something elemental and timeless that was formed by the incredible forces of nature.
