Kayo O'Young

O’Young has found that as he changes and matures, so does his work. For many years he was afraid to be too bold, which he thinks was his Asian background coming through. While keeping his heritage, he is now looking to expand and reach out. His work has also been the subject to two films: The Hand and the Spirit and Playing with the Fire.

O’Young is from Kleinburg. It is a special country place set high above the Humber River, and the East Valley is a haven of trees and wildlife, fed by the river.
