Michael Robinson

A renowned print artist, Michael was born on March 27, 1948, in Timmins, Ontario. Before focusing on painting and printing, he worked in many media including silver, ceramics and glass ‑ using whichever medium he felt will best portray the feeling or image he wished to create. As a celebrated artist and poet who drew inspiration from his spiritual beliefs, Michael believed that “it is important that we see the Earth as a living entity, only then can we understand where we fit in.” The Metis artist peacefully passed away on July 27th, 2010, at the age of 62. He will be missed by many who have been touched by his kindness and creativity.
