As an artist Phyllis was first drawn to this ancient technique of enameling because of the vibrant colours and diverse techniques that continue to be a source of excitement & wonder on each finished art piece. Her creativity is fuelled by a passion to see the world as a better place; twinned with this interest is her use of enamels to pass on the stories of her people. Phyllis considers Africa to be her spiritual home and culture inherited from her birthplace – Jamaica.
